Does Dr. Samton have any specialties?

Dr. Samton is board certified in both neurology and psychiatry, however, she practices primarily general psychiatry.  This includes depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, stress, and problem solving.  Because of her expertise in neurology and psychiatry, she is often asked to give expert opinion regarding diagnosis and treatment of individuals with both neurological and psychiatric symptoms, as well as psychiatric problems that may occur as a result of neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, head trauma, migraine, and/or epilepsy.  Her expertise gives her a unique perspective on the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and other disorders of attention.

In 2017, Dr. Samton cofounded

The Midtown Practice

with her long-term friend and colleague, Dr. Daniel Goodman. Drs. Samton and Goodman have selected a premier group of therapists and medication providers to offer a wider range of options to their clientele. At The Midtown Practice, our services include psychotherapy and medication for children, adolescents, and adults, couples and family therapy, and group therapy. Our therapists are trained in diverse modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
